Jamb to start 2025 utme registration process

 The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a rescheduling of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration. Originally slated to commence on January 31, 2025, the registration will now begin on Monday, February 3, 2025. 



This postponement is intended to allow JAMB to implement critical adjustments to its registration process, ensuring a smoother experience for all candidates. The board acknowledges the disruption this may cause to candidates and other stakeholders and sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience. 


Key Dates:

Registration Start Date: Monday, February 3, 2025

Registration End Date: Saturday, March 8, 2025

Mock Examination: Friday, March 7, 2025

UTME Examination Period: Friday, April 18 – Monday, April 28, 2025

Registration Fees:

UTME with Mock Exam: ₦8,700

UTME without Mock Exam: ₦7,200


Registration Requirements:

1. National Identification Number (NIN): Candidates must possess an 11-digit NIN obtained from any NIMC enrollment center or via the NIMC mobile app.

2. JAMB Profile Code: Send your NIN via text to either 55019 or 66019 to generate this code.

3. Valid Phone Number: Ensure you use the same phone number throughout the registration and examination process.

4. Functional Email Address: Necessary for creating your JAMB profile and accessing registration details.

5. O’Level Results: Candidates must have their O’Level results ready before registering. Those awaiting results can apply but must upload their final results to the JAMB portal before admission.

6. ePIN: This costs ₦3,500 and can be purchased from authorized channels like banks, online platforms, or through USSD codes.

Registration Process:

1. Create a JAMB Profile: Visit the JAMB registration portal at https://jamb.gov.ng to create your profile using your NIN, active email address, and phone number.

2. Obtain the ePIN: Purchase the ePIN from authorized vendors.

3. Visit an Accredited JAMB CBT Center: Complete your registration by providing your personal details, choosing your preferred exam center, and undergoing biometric data verification.

4. Collect Essential Materials: Upon successful registration, you'll receive a copy of the recommended novel for literature and comprehension purposes.


Mock Examination:

An optional mock exam is scheduled for Friday, March 7, 2025. Interested candidates must indicate their interest during registration and reprint their slips on Thursday, April 10, 2025.


Examination Period:

The main UTME will take place from Friday, April 18 to Monday, April 28, 2025. Candidates are advised to arrive at their exam centers at least 30 minutes early with their reprinted slip and a valid ID.


Result Release:

JAMB 2025 results will be released on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Candidates can check their results on the JAMB portal using their profile login details.
