 Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun Declares Mid-Semester Break



Ila-Orangun, Nigeria – The Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun, through its Students' Affairs Division, has announced a Mid-Semester Break to allow students to adequately prepare for their upcoming Continuous Assessment examinations. The break will span from Monday, January 20th, to Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025.


In an official memorandum issued on January 16th, 2025, and signed by Dr. Olayemi Zainab Oduola, Sub Dean of Students' Affairs, students have been instructed to vacate the university premises during the break. The memo emphasizes that students are expected to remain in their respective hostels to focus on their studies during this period. Additionally, faculty and staff have been advised to suspend all activities to ensure a serene atmosphere for academic preparation.


The Continuous Assessment is scheduled to take place between Thursday, January 23rd, and Saturday, January 25th, 2025. The university's administration has taken this step as part of its commitment to fostering academic excellence by giving students sufficient time to prepare for the assessments.


The directive has been communicated to key university officials, including the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Deans, and Heads of Departments (HODs), ensuring its implementation across all faculties.


The university community is encouraged to adhere strictly to the guidelines laid out in the memorandum. This initiative reflects the institution's dedication to creating a conducive academic environment for its students' success.
